Telehealth sessions offer a convenient and flexible way to access therapy from the comfort of your own home. Using secure video conferencing, you can engage in meaningful conversations and receive support tailored to your needs, no matter where you are.

FAQs

  • The Australian Psychological Society (APS) recommends charging $311 for 45-60 minute consultations. At Kingston Clinical, rates are below this rate to improve accessibility to clinical psychology.

    Additionally, as Julia is registered with Medicare, you’ll receive a $141.85 rebate after each session with a valid Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP, reducing your out-of-pocket costs.

    • Clinical Psychology Therapy Appointment (50mins): $270 or $128.15 with MHCP.

    • Clinical Psychology Telehealth Therapy Appointment (50mins): $270 or $128.15 with MHCP.

    Additionally, 30 minute sessions are also offered at Kingston Clinical. A rebate of $96.65 will be rebated back to you following each 30 minute appointment.

  • During your first appointment, I'll ask about your background, current concerns, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. This is an opportunity for you to share your thoughts and feelings in a safe and confidential environment. Together, we’ll discuss the therapeutic process and any questions you may have. My goal is to help you feel comfortable and supported as we begin this journey together.

  • Each appointment lasts 50 minutes, providing ample time to explore important topics. I understand that discussing difficult issues can be challenging, so I strive to make the experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. My goal is to create a supportive environment where you feel safe to express yourself.

  • The number of appointments you may need can vary based on your individual goals and circumstances. Some clients find relief in just a few appointments, while others may benefit from longer-term support. Together, we’ll regularly assess your progress and adjust our approach to ensure you’re getting the most from our time together.

  • The frequency of appointments will depend on your individual needs and circumstances. I’ll work collaboratively with you to determine a schedule that fits your availability, resources, and capacity.   • A GP referral and Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) is not compulsory, but one will enable you to access session rebates (provided through Medicare). A referral and MHCP is strongly encouraged at Kingston Clinical.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment will incur a fee of 50% of the appointment cost.
